WELCOME TO FANDOM FEBRUARY

The month of February can be traditionally described by most people as a month dedicated to love and passion. Here at Toushin, we'd like to do things a little differently. For the month of February, we're opening up to let people teach and present the knowledge they've picked up and learned from their time in various cultures, hobbies, and fandoms. Places that can be defined as homes where love and passion thrive. We do this in the hope of promoting and educating others about Japanese pop culture.

We've had a history of hosting face-to-face physical talks before with resource speakers about Japanese pop culture inside Ateneo de Manila University, usually involving either Toushin staff or professors from the Ateneo Japanese Studies Program. Because of the pandemic, it has limited our availability to accomplish this, so we came up with the concept of Fandom February to fill the gap left behind by the lack of presentations regarding Japanese pop culture. This will be a month-long event with talks and workshops held every week which will be done via Zoom and live streaming.

For the fandom.
